Frank Bell

Frank W. Bell, age 85, of New Castle went to be with his wife in Heaven, Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Henry County Hospital. He was born August 6, 1925 in Wayne County, Kentucky, a son of the late John and Myrtie Jane (Burchett) Bell.

He retired from Ingersoll Steel after 31 years of service and was a member of South Side Nazarene Church in New Castle. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the European theatre during World War II.

Survivors include a son: Terry Lee (wife: Gloria) Bell of New Castle; a daughter: Julie Elaine (husband: Jack) Clark of Beech Grove; two grandsons: Corey and Johnathan Bell both of New Castle and one adopted granddaughter: Amanda (husband: Brian) Witham of New Lisbon; two step grandchildren: Steven Batchfield Jr. of New Castle and Anjala Batchfield of Indianapolis; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years: Iva Jean Bell; and three brothers: Huel, Veston, and Howard Bell; and one sister Edna Dishon.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Southside Church of the Nazarene with Reverends Michael Dees, Robert Van Cise, and Paul Blair officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, November 5, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
