Fred L. Howard

Fred Howard, 90, of Carthage passed away Monday, February 24, 2025. He was born May 27, 1934 in Haddix, Kentucky, the son of William Vincent and Margaret (Haddix) Howard. 

Fred proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, tinkering around and could repair anything. He worked as a mechanic for many years. 

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Juanita; daughters, Cindy Shore and Julie (Jim) Lewman; granddaughter, Jill (Eric) Harter; great grandsons, Evan Harter and Landon Harter; sister-in-law, Garnet Frost; along with several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Roger Shore; several brothers and sisters; brother-in-law, Perry Frost. 

Services will be at 12:00 PM Monday, March 3, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM until time of service. Condolences and memories of Fred may be shared at www.hinsey-brown.com.
