Freda F. Green

Freda F. (Goudy) Green, 86, of New Castle, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 27, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Henry Community Health. She was born May 30, 1930 in Shirley, Indiana to the late William B. and Maude (Blake) Goudy.

Freda was a 1949 graduate of Wilkinson High School. She had worked at Modernfold Corp. in New Castle and was a motor route driver for The Courier Times for many years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Freda had devoted her life to caring for others and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include five children: Pat (Steve) Hinshaw of New Castle, Larry (Shari) Green of Lewisville, Brenda (Butch) Jessie of New Castle, Mary (Denny) Green of Hagerstown, and Jim (Paula R.) Green of Knightstown; 14 grandchildren, Chrystie (Jeremy) Foga, Matt (Jenna) Hinshaw, Ryan (Julie) Wesling, Kelly (Shaun) Pandoli, Matthew Connor, Brandon Connor, Paul (Krista) Grider, Branden (Jenny) Jessie, Brandi Grider, Kyle and Kathie Green, Zachary, Katelyn and Megan Heyne; 14 great grandchildren, Eli and Wyatt Hinshaw, Kenzie and Dylan Foga, Kiah and Kruz Pandoli, Sarah and Miranda Wesling, Nash and Paisley Grider, and Nolan Thompson; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles D. Green; five brothers, Lee, Fred, Jim, William and Bob Goudy; two sisters, Sylvia Murphy Shrout and Doris Riggs.

Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM Friday at the funeral home with Pastors Danny Goddard and Norwood Kreuzinger officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
