Garnet E. Pugh, 75, of Knightstown, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born June 20, 1938 in Olive Hill, Kentucky the daughter of the late Clarence and Faye (Richmond) Back.
She had been employed at several restaurants in the Knightstown area as a waitress. Garnet was a member of New Hope Church of the Nazarene in Greenfield where she taught Sunday School and ran the bus ministry along with her husband. She loved baking cookies for everyone. She enjoyed shopping, church ministry and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years: Robert Pugh, whom she married June 23, 1956; two children: Cindy (Bobby) Humphrey of Indian Trail, NC, and Bob (Donna) Pugh of Greenfield; three grandchildren: Hannah Humphrey, Brooke and Kirsten Ayers; one brother: Larry (Janice) Back of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, September 30, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Josh Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
