Gary L Dicken

Gary L. Dicken, 53, of New Castle passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Henry County Hospital. He was born May 4, 1957 to the late Leon and Josephine (Wilson) Dicken in Burksville, Kentucky.

A self employed carpenter, he was formerly employed with Thompson Builders and the Henry County Hospital. He enjoyed model cars and woodworking. He attended Open Arms Church in New Castle. Gary was an outdoorsman and enjoyed watching NASCAR races.

He is survived by two daughters: Carrie Dicken (companion, Brian Davidson) of Wilkinson, Ashley (husband, Shannon) Huckeby of Kokomo; three grandchildren: Tyler Blattner, Kennedy and Kenzie Huckeby; a sister: Linda Nunn of New Castle; three brothers: Danny (wife, Shari) Dicken of Yorktown, Alan (wife, Suzanne) Tuttle of Daleville, Scottie Tuttle of Chesterfield; step father: James Tuttle of Chesterfield; step brother: Gary Tuttle of Chesterfield, his companion: Betty Boyd of New Castle; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and former wife, Kathy Dicken.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastors Ricky and Paul Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
