Gene D. Branham, 51, of Mooreland passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Henry County Hospital. He was born July 19, 1963 in Henry County, Indiana.
He was employed at Summit Lake State Park and previously employed at Wilbur Wright Fish & Wildlife Preserve. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and attended Grand Avenue Baptist Church. Gene enjoyed fishing & being outdoors, working on cars, gardening and flowers.
Survivors include his father, Jesse E. Branham; four siblings, Cathy (Keith) Owen of Evansville, Jimmy Branham and Sandy Branham, both of Mooreland and Mike Branham (Dawn Forehand) of Muncie; two nieces, Caitlin and & Carissa Owen, both of Evansville and one nephew, Sean Owen of Evansville, five aunts, Rose Branham of New Castle, Sylvia Taylor of Vancouver, Washington, Clarice Hart of New Castle, Shirley Razor of Sanford, Florida and Betty (Robert) Tarr of Norwalk, Ohio; two uncles, Dave (Delores) Reneau of Lake Wales, Florida and Paul Reneau of Blountsville; several cousins, David (Joyce) Branham of New Castle, Debbie (Tim) Ray of Tipton and Danny (Donna) Branham of New Castle.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Reneau) Branham; grandparents and an uncle, Charlie Branham and several aunts & uncles/
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverends Steve Dugger and David Branham officiating.
