George D. Peters, Jr.

July 28, 1927 — January 3, 2015

George D. Peters, Jr., 87, of Knightstown passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 28, 1927 in Knightstown a son of George D. and Hazel (Knotts) Peters, Sr.

Junior graduated from Knightstown High School and was a member of the Raysville/Grant City Friends Church. He retired from Chrysler following over 30 years of service. He was mostly passionate about farming and caring for his fields.

He is survived by two sons, Gary Peters (Danny Lovett) of Indianapolis and John (Angie) Peters of Pendleton; grandchildren, Hannah and Cheyenne Peters of Knightstown, Tristan and Logan Maggart of Pendleton; a brother, Richard (Melvada) Peters of Knightstown; a niece and a nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Peters.

Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Steve Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
