Georgia “Kathleen” Bise, age 80, of New Castle, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Kindred Transitional Care in Greenfield. She was born June 4, 1934 in Albany, Kentucky to the late Brad and Mary (Neal) Perdue.
Kathleen had served as a recording secretary for the local 1058 United Paper Workers Union for 10 years, Ingersoll cafeteria, Denton’s Drug Store, and 19 years at Diamond Containers or formerly known as Mohawk Smurfit Containers. Kathleen enjoyed gardening, reading, going to church and most of all spending time with her family. She had attended Crossroad and Open Arms Church over the years.
Survivors include her son, Bobby David Bise of New Castle; grandchildren, Scotty (Kelly) Davis of New Castle Brock (Brittany) Davis of New Castle, Lindsey Bise of New Castle, Amanda Bise of Muncie and Garrett Bise of Bloomington; great grandchildren, Christian Crabtree, Carmen Davis, Corbin Davis and Riley Davis all of New Castle; sisters, Ruby Bise of New Castle and Bulah Jarvis of Albany, KY; special friend, Penny Blevins of New Castle, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Davis; sisters, Christine Pierce and Wanda Perdue; brothers, George Perdue, Thomas “Coomer” Perdue, James Perdue and Isaac “Tennessee” Perdue.
Services are at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Henry Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
