Glenn H. Dalton, 84, of New Castle passed away peacefully at home, January 3, 2015 with loved ones by his side. He was born April 12, 1930 in Albany, Kentucky to the late Joe Haskel and Emma (Cooksey) Dalton.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the UAW Local 662. He retired from Delco Remy after 30 years of service. He also worked many years for Banner & Hummel Trash Services then for Harvest Market. Glenn enjoyed the outdoors, walking and sharing stories with others. The family would like to thank HCMH and Hospice for the special care given at this difficult time.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 54 years Mary Wynn (Vitatoe) Dalton; three children, Rhonda Dalton and Jerry (wife, Sue) Dalton, both of New Castle and Rachel (husband, Tim) Walters of Tampa, Florida; four grandchildren Jeremy (wife, Julie) Dalton of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jaimie (Sheldon) Dalton of Evansville, Jadon and Gannon Walters, both of Tampa, Florida; two great grandsons, Troy and Drake.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 6, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Bobby Slagle officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Henry County Hospice, P.O.
