Glenn R. Stoten, 82, formerly of Knightstown, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Beech Grove Meadows. He was born June 22, 1933 in Knightstown, the son of Wallace and LaVonna Stoten.
Glenn was a retired auto worker, having worked for General Motors for several years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he ran a saw sharpening business out of his home for many years. Glenn was a member of the Ogden United Methodist Church, American Legion and UAW. He also enjoyed repairing antique furniture.
Survivors include his son: Phillip Stoten of Wright City, MO and his grandchildren: Shane and Tre’ Stoten.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn in 2015 and a sister: Marilyn (Stoten) Stanley in 2005.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Carol Wiley officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. Military rites will be conducted by a contingency from the U.S. Army, American Legion and the VFW.
