Glenna Francis Dishman, age 84, of Selmer, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 at McNairy County Healthcare Center in Selmer, Tennessee. She was born March 7, 1929 in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Lonnie and Obie (Cook) Owens.
Glenna had won many awards as a bowler and was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed her family, especially caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Glenna was also an avid Elvis Presley fan.
Survivors include four children, Russell (Joan) Dishman of New Castle, Teresia (Ron) Supinger of Selmer, TN, Kevin (Shermane) Dishman of Mooresvile, IN and Rita Neal of Rockville, IN; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild; a sister, Grace Compton of Chicago, IL; a brother, Jerry (Loretta) Owens of North Vernon, IN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dishman; a son, Roger Dishman and several brothers and sisters.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2013 at the funeral home. You may express condolences or share a memory of Glenna at
