Gloria L. (Magee) Plank, 76, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013 at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. She was born December 29, 1936 in Carthage the daughter of Maine and Flora (Howard) Magee.
A 1954 graduate of Carthage High School, Nanny never met a stranger. She enjoyed sports and liked to travel. She retired from Arthur Andersen CPA Firm in Indianapolis after 30 years of service. Gloria was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Greenfield where at one time she was the church pianist and organist.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 58 years: Lyle Plank of Greenfield; a daughter: Kim (husband, John) Lowe of New Palestine; nine grandchildren: Jennifer (Keith) Greer of Kokomo, Eliza Plank of Beech Grove, Jonathon Hooker of New Palestine, Forrest (Kelly) Plank of Ft. Wayne, Daniel Hooker (fiancé, Katie Phares) of McCordsville, Kaleb (Natasha) Plank of Rushville, Ellie Lowe of New Palestine, Austin and Zachary Plank of Rushville; seven great grandchildren: Vannessa, Jackson, Max, Vincent, Payton, Addison and Hunter; a sister: Gerry Strong of New Castle; a brother: Richard (Marcia) Magee of Spiceland; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Doug Plank; siblings: Farris Magee, Darlene Muir, Virginia Norfleet, Fred Magee, Ronald Magee and Lou Magee.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, April 1, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church in Greenfield with Reverend Wm. Daniel O’Connor officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 PM Sunday at the church.
