Gregory Paul Ayres, age 53, of New Castle, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011, at Henry County Hospital. He was born October 15, 1957 in New Castle to the late Paul Ayres and surviving mother, Evelyn (Otto) Keith of New Castle.
Gregory was a caring and loving person with a positive outlook on life. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, was an avid reader and sports fan. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by; a sister: Lisa Ayres of New Castle; a brother: Jeff (wife: Kelli) Ayres of Indianapolis; step brother: Gene (wife: Carol) Keith of New Castle; niece: Emma Ayres of Indianapolis; aunt: Mary Ann Gray of Rushville; aunt and uncle: Bruno and Martha Milakovic of Columbus, IN; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1966; step father: John Keith in 2002; and a step brother: Richard Keith.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Brian Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery.
