Halcyon A Bertram

Halcyon A. Bertram, age 70, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Henry County Hospital. She was born December 18, 1940 to the late Charles and Violeta (Peacock) Keesling.

She had been employed at New Castle Chrysler High School as a dishwasher and server for 25 years. She attended Temple Baptist Church in New Castle. She enjoyed crocheting, art, and fishing.

Survivors include her children, Harold (wife, Tammy) Bertram, Thelma Day (Greg Pirrone), Zelma Bertram (Gary Lowder), Tammy (husband, Sam) Fultz all of New Castle and Carole Poe (husband, the late Randy Poe) of Connersville; grandchildren, Sam (wife, Kiely), Joe, David, Tom, Wendy, Tim (wife, Jennifer), Brandon, Jessica, Jennifer (husband, Phil) and David Cook, Michael and Amber Poe; great grandchildren, Sammy Lee, Mallory, Thorian, Nivyona, Madison, Ron Cook, Renee Cook and Jocko Cook, Dylon, Conner, Ian and Selena Bristen; siblings, Roscoe (wife, Reba) Keesling of New Lisbon, Herb (wife, Betty) Keesling of FL, Ferman (wife, Rosemary) Keesling of Middletown, Thelma Figel of Kennard, Louise Cart of OK, Linda Mellott of Muncie and Nila Lee of Marion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ray Bertram.

Services will be at 2:00 p. m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Alan Keesling officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
