Harold D. Benedict, 91, died at his home in Titusville, Florida on Sept 6, 2023, surrounded by his family.

He was born on November 5, 1931, in Junction City, Kentucky to the late John and Hilda Benedict. He graduated from Mooreland High School and joined the Marines where he was a Golden Glove Boxer. He retired from the C&O Railroad and opened up a small furniture shop on Madison in Muncie. He was known by all as a very kind and caring man.

He is survived by his sons, Jim Benedict and Gary Benedict; daughter, Vickie Lehman; brother, Donnie; sisters, Rosemary, Shirley, Gussy and Linda.

He joins his mother Hilda and father John; wife, Barbara Jean Benedict; his brother, Albert; sisters, Patty, Helen, Emma Lou, and Mildred.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Services in New Castle. Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. You may share memories and condolences of Harold at www.hinsey-brown.com .
