Harold Holder

Harold E. Holder, age 85, formerly of the Raysville and Knightstown area, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Muncie. He was born February 10, 1924 in Marion County, Indiana to the late Roscoe and Lela (Turpin) Holder.
He retired from National Coach Inc. in 1985. He had attended First Nazarene Church in Knightstown. He never married and devoted his time caring for his mother until her death in 1985. He then moved and was a resident of Maplewood Terrace for 23 years. He loved to play pool, enjoyed long rides in the country and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his sister: Louise Neal of Muncie; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He loved his special niece Geneva.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Marie Hall and Helen Paxton DeShaw; a brother: Denny Holder.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Danny Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
