Harold Edward Sears, 90, of McCordsville, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Majestic Care in Avon. He was born January 15, 1930 in Somerset, Kentucky the son of Etheridge and Flora (Wallace) Sears.
Harold served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a truck driver for Commercial Freight and Carolina Trucking and retired in 1995 after over 30 years of service. Harold was a loving husband, father and grandfather and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He was very active in church throughout his life. He enjoyed golfing, as well as playing cards and games with his friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 35 years, Martha (Ashby) Sears; his children: Patricia Sears Hise (Michael) of Goodyear, AZ; Douglas Sears (Sharon) of Fishers, IN; Kenneth Sears (Janine) of Spencer, IN; and Roger Sears of Edwardsville, IL; grandchildren: Ryan, Amy, Mary, Anthony and Christina; great-grandchildren: Alayna, Donovan, Ceirra, Jace, Zakariah, Natalie, Keagan, Brianna, Ellis, Zelena, Mykenli, Robert, Libby, Addalyn, and Angela; and step-children, Robin and Aaron.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 25 years, Mildred (West) Sears; two brothers and six sisters.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM Monday, February 24, 2020 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Luther Brunette officiating. Military rites will be conducted by an active duty contingent of the U.S. Air Force and the Knightstown American Legion Post #152. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
