Helen Olene Chandler, 66, of Losantville, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born November 12, 1944 in Burkesville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Jesse Albert and Mary E. (George) Arms.
She was a member of Harris Chapel Church of the Nazarene and currently attended New Salem Baptist Church in New Castle. She enjoyed gardening and making crafts. She also loved her Bible study classes.
Helen is survived by her husband: James Allen Chandler, whom she married May 20, 1964; a daughter: Tina Couch of New Castle, a grandson: Chris Couch; a granddaughter: Cindi Couch a great-grandson: Patrick Baker; two sisters: Hazel Colene Smith and Ella Monzell (husband: Harold) Hedges, both of New Castle; one brother: Albert Adell (wife: Sue) Arms of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Service will be at 10:30 AM Friday, March 18, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Brett Raines officiating. Burial will follow in Springport Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Thursday, March 17, 2011. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hinsey-brown.com .
