Helen M. Fisher, age 94, of New Castle, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in New Castle. She was born June 23, 1919 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Ray and Jessie (Keever) May.
She attended First Baptist Church in New Castle and was a member of the Home Ec Club. She had worked at Henry County Savings and Loan from 1964 where she retired in 1979. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and reading. Helen was an avid New Castle sports fan.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Sweeney of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Katherine (Mark) Jones of Indianapolis; two great grandsons, Adam and Justin Jones of Indianapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Fisher; two brothers, Harry and Howard May.
Services will be private and will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County Humane Society, 11 Midway Dr.,
