Henry Foster, 63, a resident of New Castle passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born September 7, 1961 in New Castle to the late Theodore and Alta (Denney) Foster.
A 1980 graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School, he received degrees in Industrial Science and HVAC from Ivy Tech. Henry worked as a supervisor of industrial maintenance at Sugar Creek Packing and had previously worked for Siemens, Grede and Chrysler Corporations. He was affiliated with the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. Nothing was more important to Henry than his family, especially his children. His love and kindness were infectious and was shared with everyone around him. This was shown for years as he was involved in youth sports. Being a coach allowed him to be a mentor and role model to the kids on his teams. He had recently taken up pottery at the Henry County Art Association and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching IU, the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and the Cincinnati Reds.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years: Kelly (Roser) Foster; two children: Brady (Emily) Foster and Nicky Foster (Ryan Shaum), both of New Castle; a brother: Wesley Foster of New Castle, a sister: Helen Liles of Atlanta, GA; mother-in-law: Sharon Roser; brother-in-law: Dusty Roser and sister-in-law: Wendy Roser nephews: Ted Foster, Corey Foster, Paul Liles and Rusty Roser; several grand-nieces and nephews and his beloved grand-pups: Otis and Oliver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law: George Roser and a sister-in-law: Patricia Foster.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Melissa Foster officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Monday, December 16 and one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County Community Foundation, 700 S. Memorial Drive, New Castle, In 47362.
