Henry “Jerry” Grant

Henry “Jerry” Grant, 80, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Henry Community Health. He was born February 17, 1944 in New Castle to the late Oscar Henry and Mildred Marie (Batchfield) Grant.

Jerry was a 1962 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School and veteran of the U.S. Navy. Jerry was a truck driver for over 30 years, owning his own business and could always be seen lending a helping hand at the Henry County Senior Center.

Jerry is survived by two sons, Benjamin and Michael Grant; grandchildren, Alexander and Aurelia Grant and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Grant. 

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with family friend, Kenny Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2 at the funeral home. Military honors will be conducted by contingents from the U.S. Navy, American Legion and VFW. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Senior Center, 108 S. Main Street New Castle, IN 47362.
