Herbert David Lacy

Herbert David Lacy, age 72, of New Castle, passed away unexpectedly in his home Monday, August 1, 2011. He was born November 2, 1939 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Herbert and Dorothy (Haynes) Lacy.
He had worked at Lacy’s Mobile Home Sales and John Mansville in Richmond. He served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Eagles and American Legion. He enjoyed playing golf, watching old war movies, NASCAR racing and Colts football.
Survivors include his daughter, Deborah (husband, Glenn) Pedersen of Coppell, TX; a granddaughter, Rachel Pederson of Coppell, TX; a grandson, Chas Pederson of Coppell, TX; nephews, Chris (wife, Julie) Lacy of New Castle and Jeff Lacy of New Castle; sister, Debra (Lacy) Gindhart of North Vernon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dick Richard Lacy.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-Legion Hill. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.hinsey-brown.com .
