Hubert C. Love, age 90, of New Castle, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born February 6, 1919 in Randolph County, Indiana to the late Everett and Edith (Clark) Love.
He was a graduate of Spartansburg High School and Muncie Business College. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, serving as an elder and teacher. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors in 1980 after 36 years of service, and he retained his keen interest in automobiles for the rest of his life. Raised on a farm, he loved farming and had a farm of his own for over 50 years.
Survivors include a daughter: Carol (husband: Richard) Selby of Fishers, IN; a niece: Judy Baker of Tampa, FL; a nephew: Vernon (wife: Mary) Love of Guyton, GA; two step sons: Larry (wife: Mary) Helmsing of Richmond, IN and Marvin (wife: Jan) Helmsing of Cambridge City.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife: Irene Love and his second wife: Wilma Faye Love.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Mike Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
