Ida Elizabeth Pinon, age 58, of New Castle, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at her residence. She was born January 27, 1958 in New Castle to Evelyn (Pryor) (Cadwallader) Tapley.
She was a graduate of Ball State University and IU. Elizabeth was a strong individual who accomplished her goals through the trials of her life, even though she experienced 21 foster homes and being a single mother. She became a successful nurse. Her whole life was about loving her son, granddaughter, family and close friends. She spent her days with her cat “Pretty Lady.”
Elizabeth was a loving mother of a son, Christopher Alan Pinon and grandmother of a granddaughter, Selena Isabella Pinon; she is also survived by three brothers, Harry Cadwallader, Gary Burton and Bill Cadwallader; five sisters, Sylvia Johnson, Linda Moore, Jackie Schnautz, Teresa Davis and Laura Tapley; and her best friends, Linda Smith and Brenda Becklund; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Tapley; a brother, Thomas Cadwallader and a sister, Brenda Sue Barnes.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at Elizabeth’s home at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016. Memorial contributions may be given to the Elizabeth Pinon Memorial Fund, c/o Chris Pinon, 1611 "B" Ave. New Castle, IN 47362. Arrangements are entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Condolences and memories of Elizabeth may be expressed at www.hinsey-brown.com .
