Jackie Lee "Jack" Alexander

Jackie Lee “Jack” Alexander, 92, of New Castle passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Water’s Edge Village in Muncie, Indiana. He was born on September 21, 1930 in New Castle, Indiana to the late Fred T. and Dorthy (Coffman) Alexander.

Jack was a veteran, serving his country in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. Jack worked in management for Modernfold Industries in New Castle and retired after 35 years of service. He enjoyed going on fishing trips to Grand Rapids, Minnesota each summer. Jack also enjoyed golfing with his buddies on a regular basis.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Shirley M. Alexander, whom he married on April 3, 1981; son, Kevin Alexander of Raleigh, North Carolina; daughter, Karen Prather of Dickson, Tennessee; grandsons, Ethan Monahan of Madison, Tennessee and Trey Prather of Dickson, Tennessee; granddaughter, Kimberly (Victor) Ramos of Raleigh, North Carolina; step son, Ric Johnson of New Castle; step daughter, Autumn (Jeff) Brewster of Glenwood; step granddaughter, Gracesen Brewster of Greenwood; nephews, Steve (Michal) Alexander of Houston, Texas, David (Rita) Alexander of New Castle and Gary (Kathy) Alexander of Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

In addition to his parents, Jack is also preceded in death by brothers, Fred “Bud” (Alice) Alexander and Albert Eugene (Dorothy) Alexander.

Services will be held Monday, July 17, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Tony Darling officiating. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery.
