Jama Faye Todice

Jama Faye Todice, age 37, of New Castle, passed away Wednesday, April 06, 2011 at Henry County Hospital. She was born June 24, 1973, in New Castle, Indiana to James and Ruth Ann (Cleek) Burke.

Jama had a crazy sense of humor and had the biggest heart of gold. She was a very giving independent person, and made people feel comfortable. Family was a very important part of Jama’s life and she enjoyed organizing family functions. Jama was a “daddy’s girl” and loved him very much. She was a very loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews and treated her friends as though they were family. Jama was an animal lover, especially her dog Dakota, which was her pride and joy. She enjoyed and was very good with computers, and was an avid Colts fan.

Survivors include her husband of 11 years, James Todice of New Castle; father James Burke (special friend, Betty Jean Jackson) of New Castle; siblings, Bryan Burke (fiancé, Holly) of Greenwood and Kenny (wife, Brandie) Burke of Springport; aunt, Alice Crawford (special friend, Clifford Losey) of New Castle; special cousins, Katrina Crawford, Joshua Fox and Mitchell Lowe all of New Castle; best friend, Teresa (husband, Kenny) Sullivan of Indianapolis; nieces and nephews, Kendra, Jeff, Jarred, Kelly, Jason, Tyler, Drew, Brenton, Broderick and Nadia.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Ann Burke; brother, Jerry Gray and sister, Vanessa Brown.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2011 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Bryan Hisle officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition.
