James W. Beach, 65, of Knightstown, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010 in his home following an extended illness. He was born June 15, 1944 in Simpson County, Kentucky, a son of William E. and Velma E. (Bogole) Beach.
Jimmy was a member of the Elks Lodge in West Plains, Missouri for several years. He had owned two A & W Rootbeer Restaurants, a Mobile Service Station in Plymouth, Michigan, and an industrial cleaning business for several years. He also owned a janitorial cleaning service in Nashville, Tennessee, and was contracted by Dollar General Stores and properties.
He is survived by his father, William E. Beach of Knightstown; six children, Angela Beach, Lisa Yates, Jody Nausse, Carl Beach, Jennifer York, and Jessica McClain; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia (husband, Rick) Booher and Margaret Cross, both of Knightstown; three brothers, Dan Ray (wife, Kitty) Beach of Danville, Eldon T. (wife, Carol) Beach of Martinsville, and Michael W. (wife, Tamarie) Beach of Beech Grove; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Beach, and his mother Velma E. Beach.
A celebration of Jimmy’s life will take place on June 12, 2010 from noon til ? at the Elks Lodge located at 1010 S. Josephine Martinsville, IN. Friends and family are invited to attend and share food, stories, and photos. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
