James “Bubby” Brickles, age 55, of New Castle, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at his residence. He was born October 30, 1956 in New Castle to Kenneth and Geneva (Gorman) Brickles.
He loved riding horses, enjoyed going to Kentucky and playing his guitar. He also loved his family and life in general.
Survivors include his mother, Geneva Gorman Dye of New Castle; two aunts, Carolyn Dennis and Phyllis Chapman both of FL; uncle, Freddy (wife, Judy) Gorman of Knightstown; sister-in-law, Emily “Boots” Gorman of Knightstown; nieces, Nicole (husband, Larry) Mastin of New Castle, Melissa Kendall (fiancé, Travis Armstrong) of New Castle, Jessica Cooper, Shanda (husband, Tim) Felix of New Castle and Kendra Cole of New Castle; nephew, Kenneth Kendall of PA.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Maggie Gorman; uncles, Arnold Gorman and Jr. Gorman; aunts, Mary Edmonds, Irene Ernst and Joyce Thompkins; sister, Theresa Brickles.
Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Bill Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 12-2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at the funeral home.
