James “Jim” G. Bush, 72, of New Castle died Friday, February 17, 2012 at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson. He was born July 23, 1939 at Henry County, Indiana, a son of the late James Harvey “Ed” Bush and Adda (York).
He retired from Allegheny Corporation in 2002 after 30 years of service. Jim had also done construction work for Booney Watt Construction, and was a member of the steel workers union. He loved music, enjoyed playing guitar and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years: June (Oldham) Bush; seven children: Jeff (wife, Lana) Ridenour of Clarksville, Tennessee, Cheryl (husband, Allen) Demery of Maxton, North Carolina, Mark (wife, Sandy) Ridenour of New Castle, Kelly (wife, Sha) Ridenour of New Castle, Jim Bush of New Castle, Brian (wife, Lisa) Bush of Plainfield, and Jason (wife: Angie) Bush of New Castle; eighteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three brothers: Ulyssess “Bud” Bush of New Castle, Frank (wife, Judy) Bush of Hagerstown, and Julian (wife, Joyce) Bush of New Castle; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother: Kenneth, and a grandson James Todd.
Memorial services will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service with Reverend Paul Riddle officiating. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
