James “Jamie” Lee Logston went to be with his Lord on October 2, 2017. He was born on January 18, 1960 in New Castle, Indiana to the late James E. Logston and Julia K. Logston of Richmond.
Jamie lived in New Castle all his life. He had such a sweet personality and was loved by everyone who knew him. He fought a courageous battle through out his life. He especially enjoyed weight lifting and won the National weight lifting competition winning the title of “Mr. Teenage America” held in Texas in 1979. Jamie was retired and spent time at the gym everyday.
In addition to his mother he is survived and will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Debbie Logston, sons, Josh (Mindy) Logston, Seth (Brianna) Logston and Daniel (Ashley) Pierce, grandchildren, Jace, Cade and Dakota, sister, Cindy (Mark) Conrad of Brown County, brother, Phillip Logston of Texas, stepmother, Glenda Logston of New Castle, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Logston.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 9, 2017 at the First Assembly of God with Rev. Stephen Gallaway officiating. Private burial will take place in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be from 2 – 6 p.m. Sunday, October 8, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the James L.
