Jane Reece

Jane Reece, 87, of New Castle passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 4, 1936 to the late Jessie and Agusta (Hoag) Stinson.

Jane volunteered and was in charge of the funeral diners for the First Baptist Church where she was a member for over 50 years. She was very active in the Class of 1954 and Homecoming. Jane enjoyed playing any card games including Euchre and Bridge. She loved her grandchildren and especially loved her great grandchildren.

Jane leaves cherished memories with her children, Joe (Kelly Robinson) Reece, Tim (Susie Wilson) Reece and Susan Reece; grandchildren, Mike (Jackie Rogers) Reece, and Katie (Robby) Rivers; great grandchildren, Liberty Reece, Jack Reece, Cam Rivers and Chase Rivers.

In addition to her parents Jane was proceeded in death by her husband Jack Reece in 1992; and her 3 sisters.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Private burial will be at South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church, 709 S Memorial Dr, New Castle, IN 47362.
