Janet E. Shaw

Janet Huff Shaw, age 89, of New Castle, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born November 30, 1920 in Henry County, Indiana to the late Harold and Blanche (Tully) Huff.

She had lived in New Castle all of her life and was a beauty operator. Janet was a member of the Kennard Christian Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Fay Ann (husband, Roy) Malitzke of Goshen, IN, Julia (husband, Kris) Baldock of Baltimore, MD and Jane (husband, Donald) Cummings of New Castle; grandchildren, Catherine Cummings of IN, Mariah (husband, Evan) Klein of MD, Lucy Weems of MD, Hilarie (husband, Brad) Marsiglia of PA, Angela Malitzke of IN and Jessica (husband, Sean) Maloney of TX; nine great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Shaw; daughter, Sharon Kay Shaw; grandsons, Bradly Baldock and Spencer Cummings; great grandson, Hayden Malitzke; brother, Hugh M. Huff.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2010 at the funeral home.
