Jean H. Dudley, age 76, of New Castle, passed away Monday, September 30, 2013 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. She was born September 22, 1937 to the late Edward Clayton and Sadie (Lunsford) Jones.
She had been employed by the American Red Cross and did secretarial/accounting work for Spiceland Pike Church of God. She enjoyed singing and drawing and also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Lisa (Terry) Deweese, Darla Dudley (George Mowbray, Jr.), Timothy Dudley, and Tamara Blevins; grandchildren, Karrie Harlass, Li (Gary) Mingle, John Durbin, Steven (April) Durbin, Matthew Blevins, Ralph (Leslie) Chew, Lindsey Dudley, Todd (Shelly) Deweese, Brenda Geiling and (Jon Berry), Kayla Dudley, and Kyle Dudley; great grandchildren, Kain, Kewanne and Kailey Harless, Chase and Garrett Mingle, Travis, Anthony and Alyssa Deweese, Mera and Emma Geiling, Bayley and Keegan Durbin, Stella and Willy Tompkins; siblings, Eddie Jones, Cheryl Humphery, Mike (Jenny) Jones, Connie (Roger) Caldwell, Diane (Mike) Maddy, Kevin (Sylvia) and Kelly Groce; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step father, Elwood Groce; husband, Frederick L. Dudley; son, Darryl Dudley; sister, Rose Ann Jones.
Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Randy Schinolt officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition.
