It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jeff Davis, a beloved husband, papaw, son, brother, stepdad, friend, and inspiration to all who knew him. Jeff passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

On January 1st, 1998, Jeff married the love of his life, Dee (Tumilty) Davis, in Gatlinburg, TN, and she survives. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis (Jenny) Davis of New Castle, stepdaughter Malissa Hunsinger of Greenfield, stepson Sean (Tracy) Smith of Lewisville, grandson Justin Hampton of Greenfield, granddaughters Kayla Hunsinger of Brownsburg and Ella Hunsinger of Greenfield, as well as many cousins.

Born with an adventurous spirit, Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who found his greatest joys in the beauty of nature. Whether he was casting a line in search of the perfect catch, trekking through the woods on a hunting trip, or cheering on his favorite sports teams, Jeff lived life with passion and purpose.

Jeff had an unwavering loyalty to the Cincinnati Reds, a team he supported through every season with boundless enthusiasm. His love for the game mirrored his approach to life—dedicated, spirited, and always hopeful.

Known for his warm heart and generous spirit, Jeff was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a loyal friend, a great storyteller, and someone who could brighten any room with his presence. His kindness and humor will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Jeff’s legacy lives on in the countless memories he created with family and friends, the lessons he shared, and the love he spread so freely. He leaves behind a community of loved ones who will forever cherish his impact on their lives.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, CB and Dorothy (Ferguson) Davis, father-in-law, Bill Tumilty, brother-in-law, Dave Tumilty, great grandson, Grayson Hampton, and son-in-law Sean Hunsinger.

Jeff Davis was a remarkable man whose spirit and love of life will remain in our hearts always. May he rest in peace, knowing he was truly cherished by many.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel.
