Jeneva "Jennie" Divine

Jeneva “Jennie” Divine, 65, of New Castle passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at her residence. She was born on April 12, 1958 in San Luis Obispo, CA a daughter of Jerry Lee and Donna Lee Upshaw.
“So, when the wind blows and flips your hair, remember me still right there.” This saying was
instructions from Jennie to her family whom she loved very much. Jennie lived her life full throttle. She loved the ocean from its crashing thunderous waves to the soft ripples that tickled her feet as she walked through the sand. Jennie also loved to paint, work with leather, write poetry and cook.
Jennie is survived by her mom, Donna Lee Upshaw of Las Vegas, NV; children, Chala DeHoyos, Tyrrell Smythe-Green and Dakota Divine; grandchildren, Kelsey, Taya, Ashley and Ethan; sister, Joyce Belteton; best friends, Lisa Hoyt and Katie Greene; numerous nieces and nephews.
Jennie was preceded in death by her dad, Jerry Lee Upshaw and her brother, Jerry Allen Upshaw.
A celebration of life will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor John Tyner officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00pm until the time of celebration on Saturday. You may express condolences or share memories of Jennie at www.hinsey-brown.com .
