Jennifer Elaine (Riddle) McQuiddy

Jennifer Elaine (Riddle) McQuiddy, 52, of Smithville, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024. She was born June 27, 1972 in Muncie, Indiana to Gordon and Carolyn (Phelps) Riddle.

Jennifer was a 1990 graduate of Blue River High School where she played volleyball, basketball and track. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where she received her bachelor of science degree. She then went on to Valparaiso University where she received her nursing degree. Jennifer also was a huge fan of Notre Dame Football.

She was employed as a surgical nurse at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN and Vanderbilt, TN. Jennifer also was a traveling nurse, mostly in Indianapolis. She was very dedicated and experienced., which awarded her nurse of the year in Saint Thomas. Her hobbies included crafts and making wreaths for friends and family.

Jennifer is survived by twin children, Elijah Mcquiddy of Smyrna, TN and Riley McQuiddy of Manahawkin, New Jersey; mother, Carolyn Riddle of Mount Summit, Indiana; brother, Greg Riddle of Shoreview, MN; companion, Todd Butler of Smithville, TN; nephew, Nolan Riddle and niece, Natalie Riddle.

She is preceded in death by her father, Gordon Riddle; grandparents, John and Nola Phelps and Leslie and Allie Riddle; aunt Martha Riddle; two uncles, Steve Phelps and Ralph Riddle.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Justin Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Jennifer McQuiddy memorial fund in care of Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service for the benefit of her twin children.
