Jennifer Dietz Sayre

Jennifer Dietz Sayre, 70, of Knightstown passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025. She was born December 23, 1954 in Indianapolis. Jennifer was the beloved daughter of the late Clifford and Paula Dietz.  

Jennifer was a sister to Sharron Wilson and Stephanie Patton. She had three sons by birth: William Clifford (Nikki) St. Martin, Andrew Christopher (Amanda) Kahn, and Thomas Michael (Breynn) St. Martin. She was married to William “Bill” Alan Sayre. She also had two sons by marriage, whom she lovingly embraced as her own: Benjamin (Michelle) Sayre and Joshua (Greg) Sayre. Jennifer was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren. 

Jennifer considered her major life accomplishments to include being a devoted mother and wife, serving on the board of directors of Engineered Models, contributing to the Visiting Nurses Association of Indianapolis as a board member, and serving on the board of directors of Enconco and later owning the company. 

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin and Purdue College. She loved crafting, knitting, and equestrian pursuits. She also enjoyed gardening, restoring antiques, and volunteering to help her neighborhood. 

A devout Christian, Jennifer believed in Christ and lived her life as a testament to her faith. She will be remembered as a loving and giving person who always served her family. She often shared her wisdom with the words, "Give it to God and go to sleep." 

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel  with burial to follow at Glen Cove Cemetery.
