Jerald L. King, 72, of Carthage, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. He was born June 1, 1940 in Birdseye, IN the son of Clovie and Bertha (Deel) King.
Jerald had been employed at Wood Products in Jasper, IN before his employment at Chrysler Corporation, where he retired in 1996 following 31 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing and hunting. He especially enjoyed being in the presence of his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 33 years: Janet (Rasor) King of Carthage; children: Angela L. (Gary) Weekley of Indianapolis, Jennifer (John ) Turner of Franklin, Anthony (Jessica) King of South Beloit, IL; grandchildren: Jaime Smith of Indianapolis, Joshua Shows (fiancé: Samantha Stutz) of Indianapolis, Benjamin Shows of Indianapolis, Margaret Turner, Cory Turner, Jesse Turner, and Jared Turner all of Franklin, Jessica Weekley, Dustan Weekley and Josh (Kayle) Weekley all of Florida; siblings: Elvis King of Jasper, Wilma Julian of Birdseye, Wayne (Sue) King of Indianapolis, Phyllis O’Connor of Greenfield; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter: Cheryl King; sister: Olive King; brothers-in-law: Norman O’Connor and Jim Julian.
Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, March 4, 2013 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Jim Julien officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-6 PM Sunday. You may express a condolence or share a memory of Jerald at
