Jerry Branock

Jerry Branock, 83, of Carthage passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Cypress Run Rehabilitation Center in Morristown. He was born July 10, 1940 in Greenfield, the son of Earl and Pauline (McCorkle) Branock.  

Jerry retired from Ford Motor Company, Indianapolis, in 1991 after 31 years of service. An electrician by trade, he enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He was also a pilot and flew for a period of time. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 65 years, Dois (LaFavers) Branock, whom he married May 23, 1959; two children, Jerry Duane (Lynnell) Branock of New Castle and Denise Robertson of North Carolina; grandchildren, Jared Branock of New Castle and Justus Branock of Kentucky, B. J. Robertson of North Carolina, Elisha Robertson of North Carolina, Bryce (Melinda) Robertson of Florida, Karis (Nicole) Robertson of Germany, Sarah Robertson of North Carolina and Hannah Robertson of North Carolina; great grandchildren, Christopher McCoy, Jayden Robertson  and Andrew Robertson, all of North Carolina, Jayce Robertson of Florida; several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Barnes and brother, Bill Branock. 

Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, May 31, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Steve Richwine and Mike Shockley officiating.
