Jerry "Henry" Neal

Jerry “Henry” Neal, 78, of Monticello, KY and formerly of New Castle, IN went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 5 th, 2023 following a brief battle with leukemia. He was born November 17, 1944 to the late Steve and Ethel Neal.

After 30 years of service, Henry retired from Chrysler. He was a member of the National Guard and Henry County Search and Rescue. Over the years he and his wife were involved in many different church activities with driving the church bus Sunday mornings being one of his favorites. He enjoyed coon hunting, riding his horses, and recently picked up the hobby of flying pigeons.

He leaves to cherish his memory a son ,Jerry Neal; a daughter, Jenny (Jason) Massengale; four
grandchildren, Aaron (Lyndsie) Neal; Tayler Neal (Ashley Woods); Samantha (Scott) Hacker; Ian (Masie) Massengale; 9 great-grandchildren, Kynzlie and Maddax Neal, Jayden, Kiana, and Daven Bedell, Noah, Cohen and Mason Hacker, and Eli Massengale; a brother, Jack Neal; two brother-in-laws, Bob Duvall and Phil Davis; two sister-in-laws, Donna Dismore and Gena Cecil; companion, Tina Laymance; and several nieces, nephews, and
cousins that he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Doris Neal; three sisters, Juanita Duncan, Janet Duvall, and Ruth Davis; a daughter-in-law, Gina Neal; two sister-in-laws, Kathy and Charlotte Neal; two brother-in-laws, Clyde Chriswell and Gary Cecil; mother and father in law, Bud and Virginia Brunson.

Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at Hillsboro Cemetery.
