Jerry A. Rodgers, 75, of New Castle, and formerly of Muncie, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018. He was born February 10, 1943 in Muncie, a son of the late Clarence and Ellen Rodgers.
Jerry served in the U.S. Army, and worked at Indiana Bridge for over 20 years, then retired from Muncie Sanitation District after over 25 years of service. He was a member of the Full Gospel Temple in Muncie, enjoyed riding his bicycle, and was an avid collector of vinyl records.
He is survived by three children, Dwayne (Tina) Rodgers of Muncie, Greg Rodgers (Tony Reynolds) of Slemp, KY, and Jennifer (Daniel) Tinch of New Castle; grandchildren, Kayleigh Bilbrey, Tyler and Skyler Rodgers, all of Muncie, Darla and Dylan Tinch of New Castle; great granddaughter, Emma Bilbrey; two sisters, Mary Phipps and Carolyn Roark; three brothers, David, Roy, and Norman Rodgers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Rodgers, and a son, Chris Rodgers.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Denny Helton officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Muncie.
