Jewell Mason

Olvia “Jewell” Craven Loveless Mason, 78, of New Castle, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. She was born March 27, 1932 in Pulaski County, KY the daughter of the late Ben and Margaret (Wood) Loveless.

Jewell worked at Delco Remy in Anderson and RCA in Indianapolis. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in New Castle. She enjoyed gardening and canning.

Jewell leaves to cherish her memory four children: Jimmy (wife: Bobbie) Winchester of Richmond; Jackie Lee of Marion; Carolyn Louise Crider of Davis, NC; Joe Anthony Winchester; grandchildren: Devon Shae (husband: Chad) Crider Bell; Jay and Kim Winchester; Michelle Winchester Reeves; Adam (wife: Kyle) Tabb; Joey and Ben Winchester; four brothers: Claud (wife: Wanda) Loveless, Don Lee (wife: Connie) Loveless; Ralph (wife: Betty) Loveless; Murrell David Loveless all of New Castle; life companion: Robert Cassity; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Jewell was preceded in death, prior to her birth, by her father Oliver Lee Craven and her parents, Ben and Margaret Loveless; one brother Ben Loveless II.

Services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Bill Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from noon until the time of service on Sunday, September 12. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent Hospice 8450 N Payne Rd. Ste 100 Indianapolis, IN 46268.
