Jimmey "Rex" Sneed

Jimmey “Rex” Sneed, 80, of New Castle passed away December 29, 2024, at his home. He was born in New Castle on December 29, 1944, to the late Ira and Mary (Bertrum) Sneed.

He was a 1963 graduate of New Castle High School. Rex served in the United States Marine Corps. After 30 years Rex retired from Chrysler in 1998. A lifelong member of the Eagles, American Legion, VFW and Elks. Rex loved fishing, tinkering in his garage with his old cars and Harley’s. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and riding his Harley.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 21years, Cathy “Sissy” Sneed; stepchildren, Billy (Andrea) Case, Chelesa Reynolds; grandchildren Desmond Case, Rogahn Reynolds, Remi Reynolds, Caitlin Sneed, Jaxson Case, Atlas Case, Bodi Case, Hudson Case and Kylee Case; sister, Elizabeth Griggs; along with several nieces and nephews.

Jimmey was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jimmey Sneed Jr.; sister, Maretta Sneed.

Services will be on Tuesday January 7, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service. Visitation will be on Monday January 6, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
