Jimmie G. Chapman, 76, of Knightstown, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016 at St. Vincent Heart Center. He was born March 6, 1939 in Jamestown, KY a son of Alford and Mary (Lawless) Chapman.
Jimmie retired from Delco Remy in Anderson after over 30 years of service and formerly worked at Indiana Rayon in Greenfield. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.
He enjoyed square dancing, fishing at Brookville Lake, playing country music and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Guin (Roseberry) Chapman; daughter, Deborah Lynn Hoskins of Fishers; son, Troy Wade (Candy) Chapman of Knightstown; four grandchildren, Brittany and Kyle Hoskins, Shelby and Hunter Chapman; four great grandchildren, Autumn, Sylas, Stella and Layla McGuffey; five siblings, Al Chapman, Jr. of Fishers, Gene (Linda Knight) Chapman of Fishers, Nelda (Terry) Ballenger of Noblesville, Carol (Jack) Ott of Noblesville and Kenny Chapman of Noblesville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jonell Wooldridge.
Visitation will be from 2-6 PM Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, February 29 with Pastor Eric Boling officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery.
