Jimmie W. Peavie, 85, of Albany, Kentucky and formerly of New Castle passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Clinton County Hospital. He was born October 15, 1929 in Susie, Kentucky, a son of the late James Rice and Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Peavie.
He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict 1951-1952, and moved to Indiana in 1953. Jimmie worked at Trainor Springs Factory for 25 years and Nelson Tree Service for 14 years, before retiring in 1992.
He leaves to cherish his memory, five children, Betty (Johnny) Warinner of Albany, Kentucky, Wanda (Dave) Tuggle of New Castle, Ronnie (Vanessa) Peavie of Pendleton, Patsy Gibson of New Castle and Debbie (Mick) Sims of Elwood; eleven grandchildren, Jimmie Warinner of Danville, Kentucky Jason Warinner of Albany, Kentucky, Joshua Warinner of Albany, Kentucky, Brian Supinger of New Castle, Mike Tuggle of Cumberland, Maryland, Dave Tuggle of Germantown, Maryland, April Jayne of Pendleton, Rachel Smith of New Castle, Vicki Williams of Middletown, Justin Elsbury of Indianapolis, and Kevin Hager of Anderson; twenty one great grandchildren; and a special friend, Carol Larkins.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth E. Peavie on August 11, 1988; one sister, Flonnie Neal; and brothers, Roy, Charlie, Herbert and Hershel Peavie and three infant brothers.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastors Tobby Smith and Charles Dugger officiating.
