Jodelle (Lewis) Kendrick, 83, of Mooreland passed away Friday evening, January 7, 2022 at her residence. She was born December 20, 1938 in Randolph County, Indiana, a daughter of the late Harvey and Margaret (Townsend) Lewis.
She was a 1956 graduate of Modoc High School. A longtime member throughout her adult life of Mooreland Friends Meeting, where she was pianist, Sunday School teacher, song leader, choir leader and a member of M & O. Jodelle loved flowers, gardening, cooking and hosting family get togethers. Most of all she loved her family & friends.
Survivors include her husband of almost 66 years, Hugh M. Kendrick; children, Hugh Bryan (Diane) Kendrick of rural Farmland, Lori (William) Halstead of Mooreland and Brenda Blevins of Lexington, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Lindsay (Kaine) Snyder, Zachariah (Tamara) Blevins, Shelby (Ryan) Barnes, Tyler (Reba) Halstead, Derek Halstead, Nick Halstead, Russ Cronk and Ryan (Stacci) Cronk; 19 great grandchildren; and many friends & her church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Mooreland Friends Meeting in Mooreland with Pastor Brenda Earley officiating. Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
