John Allan Flynn, 76, outdoorsman at his core, passed from this life on Monday, July 24, 2023 at his home. He was born February 26, 1947 in New Castle, a son of the late John Charles and Virginia (Roysdon) Flynn.
Full of knowledge, smart, and witty, Allan was an avid reader and was an interesting conversationalist. He retired from Duke Energy following over 44 years of service. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, he was also a member of the New Castle Masonic Lodge #91.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Pam (Morrell) Flynn of New Castle; daughter, Tracy D. (Craig) McCulloch of Canada; son, Brad Flynn of New Castle; grandson, Dustin Flynn; step-grandsons, Trevor (Kris) McCulloch, Kirk (Lisa) McCulloch, and step granddaughter, Heather Smith; step great grandson, Corbin Winchester; adopted daughter, Melinda (Wayne) Mullens of Mooreland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy D. Smith and a step daughter, Mindy Lee.
