John Perry Penticuff

May 16, 1927 — December 13, 2010

John Perry Penticuff, of New Castle, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly Monday, December 13, 2010. He was born May 16, 1927 in Albany, Kentucky, a son of the late Porter Harrison and Mattie Eula (Marcum) Penticuff.

He served in the United States Army during WWII. He retired in 1987 from Chrysler Corporation in New Castle following 40 years of service and was a member of the UAW Local 371. A strong believer in Jesus, he often witnessed to his family and others about the Love of God. John enjoyed being with his family, farming, and restoring cars, trucks and tractors. He is greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 59 years, the former Judy Mae Roy of New Castle; a daughter, Debora Kay Brammer of New Castle; two sons, Robert Dean (wife, Lori) Penticuff of Anderson and Patrick (wife, Jacquelyn) Penticuff of New Castle; grandchildren, Eric Brammer, Leah Brammer (husband, Justin) Combs, Daniel (wife, Danyelle) Penticuff, Rachel, John Robert, Jonathan, Joanna, Julianna, Jeremiah and Joseph Penticuff; great grandchildren, Alexis Combs, Allisyn Combs, Makenzie, Landen and Jackson Penticuff; a sister, Doris Sexton of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, John P. Penticuff, Jr.; sisters, Thelma JeanWeidner , Margaret Eula Clow, Lola Chrystal Stutts and Mary Maxine Stamper; a brother, Randall Sloan Penticuff; two nieces and a nephew.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Ken King officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion and the VFW. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition.
