John C Pool

John C. Pool, age 75, of Losantville, passed away, Monday, October 22, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 19, 1936 in Losantville, Indiana to the late Marcus and Cecil Pool.

A lifelong resident of the Losantville area, he retired from farming and MoorMan’s Feed Corporation after 27 years of service. He was a member of the Springport Christian Church. John’s favorite thing was going to Florida in the winter and he loved IU basketball. He also enjoyed drinking coffee with his buddies.

Survivors include his wife, Lorna (Ritchie) Pool whom he married August 20, 1976; two children, Debbie Huber Miller(husband, Tony) of Farmland and Jay (wife, Angie) Pool of Losantville; a stepson, Greg (wife, Debbie) Bowers of Smithville, KY; four grandchildren, Autumn (husband, Steven) Coffman, Blake Huber, Alex Huber and Logan Pool; three step grandchildren, Jenny Bowers, Jonathan (wife, Lydia) Bowers and Amanda (husband, Adam) Morgan; three great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Reverend Ned Wysong officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Losantville. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the funeral home.
