John R. Pribble, 64, of New Castle passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Reid Hospital. He was born October 21, 1958 in Milan, Indiana to the late Henry Allen and Juanita Jewell (Brooks) Pribble.
John worked for Ron Lanzer Soft Water in New Castle for over 36 years. In his earlier years, John enjoyed playing pool in tournaments and playing softball. He was a sports enthusiast! John was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, IU Basketball, NASCAR, REO Speedwagon and 90’s country music. John was a member of the Moose Lodge where he was a past Governor. He was also a member of the VFW Post 1282.
He is survived by his sons, TJ (Cierra) Pribble, Shane Pribble, Austin (Makayla) Pribble; grandchildren, Amiyah and Kollin Pribble, Kyla Abbott, Braxton, Jolie, Roman and Willow Pribble; sisters, Linda (Mike) Wrightsman and Kathy (Mike) Holmes; a brother, Gary (Beth) Pribble; several nieces, nephews and many close friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by twin sister, Tammy Hankenhoff.
There will be a celebration of life at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the VFW Post 1282, 205 N. 16th Street New Castle, IN 47362. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. You may express condolences or share a memory of John at www.hinsey-brown.com .
